 Just the other, when I picked up Kuck's book "The structure of Computers
 and computations- Vol 1", I read this in the preface

	 "Art is I, Science is WE, Engineering is THEY" as quoted by
	 claude bernard.  
	 
 The ENGINEERING of a computer is by 'they', the users,
 and  based on sound SCIENTIFIC principles developed by 'we', 'I' 
 produce a piece of ART.
