Discussions of technology are wonderful and hopeful, but if I want an
advertisement, I'll read a tabloid.

In this newsgroup, at least, I for one appreciate the discretion of
the DBMS vendors (excepting one of course) to not blatantly plug their
respective products.

After all, performance is relative to the user's application needs
anyway.
