I just bought one from Warehouse Data Products for $99 and was very pleased with it's performance. Remeber that this modem has no on/off switch (turns itself on by sensing the 5V signal in RS-232 line), speaker, or status lights. In addition, it runs on a 9V battery which will run down in about 10 hours. I read in PC WEEK that Migent is working on an improved version with a longer battery life and speaker. Also, they plant to release a 2400 baud unit. Migent also supplies an AC adapter unit to run the modem off wall current and BITCOM communications software. If you plan to connect the modem to a standard PC serial port, you won't need a cable. The modem as a female 25 pin connector which will attach directly to a PC male connector. I found that the plastic frame around the serial port on a Zenith 181 laptop got in the way. Fortunately, Migent also sends along a short 25 pin-25 pin cable as well as a 25 pin-9 pin cable for AT owners. I never did use the BITCOM software but the modem performed well with Procomm at both 300 and 1200 baud on the Zenith 181 and my PC's Ltd Turbo PC.
