  I am a recent convert (3 months) to Emacs and I am fascinated and
impressed. I have been through the available documentation and the
source both C and lisp. I think I would like to begin customizing
it for myself (writing lisp) but the documentation is not all that
clear on how to do that. I use mostly vt100 and I thought, for a start
I might play with the keypad. I would greatly appreciate any and all
help, advice, warnings, pointers,admonitions,well-wishes, prayers
for the success of.....
