Kudos to RMS (and Peter Desnoyers, the original author.) However, it is a major mode. Before I reinvent the wheel, has anyone reimplemented it as a minor mode? I use Outline mode instead of LaTeX mode on large documents, with an outline-regexp that includes \section \subsection \paragraph and a few others.
