I feel as though I'm in the twilight zone.  With my copy of the Powell
compiler, an identifier imported into the definition module is
available in the implementation module.  I think it's version 1.1, although
it's hard to tell.  Anyway, the definition modules which are provided are
dated late 1984.

Can the complaints be generated by old versions of the compiler?
