Our organization, the Air Force Institute of Technology, is planning to
purchase an integrated academic library system in the near future.  We
are currently in the information gathering stage, and would appreciate
any comments or recommendations regarding the following:

    This system will automate all current (manual) academic library
    functions and shall be accessible by all faculty, staff and student
    personnel using existing computer terminals (numerous makes and
    models), through a local area network adhering to the IEEE 802.3
    standard and employing standard DOD protocols, (TCP/IP, FTP, TELNET and
    SMTP).

If you know of any off-the-shelf packages or of anyone that is
currently using such a system, we would appreciate hearing from you.
