Now, the question. Has anyone else applied the above patch? If so, did you find that programs that use the patched routines need to be relinked? Better yet, did you run into any problems at all? I had to relink gnuemacs; I believe the "access violation" error came from a call to the C routine getenv which I think does a getuai system call.
