To create a new version of standalone backup, use the procedure STABACKIT
in SYS$UPDATE.

Don't use GMAIL (it's slow and has been known to use inappropriate machines
as gateways).  The mailer we use here for non-VMS mail is the Software Tools
mailer.  The person currently maintaining it at Caltech is ZAR@XHMEIA, and
he can probably tell you where to get a copy.
