There is a list of all the initial top level domains in RFC 920;
however, others have been added since that RFC was published.  The NIC
is in the process of writing up guidelines for administrators who want
to establish a domain, and that document will contain descriptions of
all the top level domains established so far.  For a list only (no
description) of registered domains, FTP the file
NETINFO:DOMAIN-INFO.TXT from SRI-NIC.ARPA.  It contains names of all
the top and second level domains registered with the NIC.
