Regarding an RFC: I suppose I could document what I've found while doing FTP's implementation, but I'm not a mainframe programmer, and I got the feeling during an earlier discussion here that the present state of affairs wasn't to everyone's satisfaction. Should I (or some one of the others working on TN3270) institutionalize what we've got now? If not, I'd be happy to be included in any e-mail discussion of what *ought* to be done. I definitely agree that the issue needs some work, since the number of available implementations has been growing. jbvb@ai.ai.mit.edu James B. VanBokkelen FTP Software, Inc. PS: I sent a request to be added to this list to "tcp-ip-request@sri-nic.arpa" three weeks ago, and it appears I haven't been added. Was that the wrong place to send it?
