Could someone who is a sockets wizard send me some skeleton
programs that would show me how to set up clients and
servers using sockets?

All I really need to know is what syscalls in what order and
with what arguments.  

Also I'd appreciate any hints or tips that make IPC easier
and any "gotcha's!" to watch out for.
