There is a 8 yo patient in a childrens hospital who was hit by a car leaving him a quadraplegic on a respirator. The hospital is looking for any voice recognition products/software to aid in his education and to give him some control over his environment. I showed them the "Vocalink" SRB voice system I have here as a starting point. This however would require a fair amount of development which someone with a similar application may have already done. What I would like is any feedback/advice from someone working in this area on suitable hardware/software. Also if someone knows of a more suitable newsgroup or people to address my enquiry to please let me know. Thanks.
