If tar works on every system, is there one for RT-11
version 4?  We have FORTRAN IV if that helps.  We have
run RT11 for years and are moving to Ultrix-11.  It
would be nice to be able to move the old archives.

[ I believe people were referring to every UNIX-related system.
We were discussing POSIX, the purpose of which is to codify
a version of the existing UNIX system interface.

One never knows, though:  someone might have a tar for RT11.
Or you could try adapting John Gilmore's public domain version,
if you have a C compiler. -mod ]
