The game is huge. An animated character moves across a smoothly scrolling 3-d background. Finally, I thought, a real-time adventure game with great animated graphics that will show off the capabilities of my Amiga. This game surpassed my expectations until . . . * FLAME ON * a massive bug appeared. Your progress is saved on a separate disk. So I saved the game, re-booted F.T.A. (you have to Quit in order to save), and loaded the saved information. The game came up, but my character had been turned into a bunch of horizontal lines. In fact, the monsters seem to have been turned into garbage also. In other words, the game seems to work fine as long as I don't ever save my progress. How could such a glaring, fatal bug slip past quality control? And this is a $50 game?
