The halfbrite mode in the rev6 and on denise chips is completely supported by the software, just like HAM mode is. You have to ask for it to get it. As long as you set that bit when you need it and the hardware can do it, the software should be able to make it available. No matter what new chips may have in store for us. It is just to easy of a hack to increase the number of colors on the amiga without going overboard with the size of the color palette. Duck
