Andy - you know how DropCloth works - patterns could easily be put
into the workbench without so much layers overhead as it requires now
(if it were really part of the workbench and not hacked in as an after-
thought). I am also of the opinion (as are many others) that layers.library 
could be speeded up quite a bit... isn't Duck considering this? (Dale???)
