France Lines: 13 gpr-$write-pixels : I am using binary pictures, represented as gpr single plane bitmaps and char arrays. In my package, I have to pack and unpack from one data type to the other : for this purpose I amusing gpr-$write-pixels and gpr-$read-pixels. All bitmaps are main memory bitmaps. Apparently, gpr-$xxx-pixels nead a long array and a bitmap, and this is very costly for big pictures, and is needed just for packing. Thus, I would like to write my own packing routine : can anyone explain me how are the pixels rpresented in main memory bitmaps ? p.Garda UUCP : ...!seismo!mcvax!inria!geocub!ief
