This is not surprising since it fits right in with our desktop metaphor. The calculator is one of the most powerful tools one finds on a real desktop. But users were complaining. They said the MAC was no longer keeping up with the times. They said there is a more powerful tool on desktops today. Complain no more! As of today, April first, we are introducing the FatMAC DoublePlusGood. This machine has, on its metaphorical desktop, a complete IBM-PC! One uses the mouse to press the images of keys on the IBM-PC's keyboard. As always, no actual typing on the MAC keyboard is necessary (in fact we plan to discontinue shipping keyboards with our MACs this summer). You read what is on the IBM-PC's screen by looking closely at the icon of its screen. A magnifying glass is available from APPLE for $500 to help you with this. You can request the hard disk PC or the floppy PC. We stronly recommend the former, so that you don't have to manipulate icons of floppy disks all the time. The PC has 256K. To get 640K you can order the upgrade kit, which consists of an icon of a memory board. You can then use the mouse to insert the icon of the memory board into the icon of the PC, if you can figure out how to get the icon of the cover off the icon of the PC. (CAUTION: be sure to remove the icon of the plug from the icon of the wall socket under the desk before removing the icon of the cover.) The FatMAC DoublePlusGood comes complete with no slots for a mere $6500. Upgrade kits for existing MACs are available for $7500. You can pick up your FatMAC DoublePlusGood at your local authorized Apple Stealer ... er, Dealer. -SJ ^_
