Subject: Home Control/Security/etc. with Apple ][+

Could anyone please recommend hardware/software packages or combinations
for the Apple ][+ that are designed for (or can be used for) home control
(e.g. heating, lighting), and security (e.g. intrusion, fire), as well
as sources for these packages?

I have an ADC box and the game controllers and annunciators can be used,
but if there is something on the market that is flexible and not too
expensive then I would go for that.

Has anyone had any experiences doing this? What are the pitfalls?
