But the Grand Pubahs of the C club actually encourage the most character-dense, idiomatic style of programming and the language itself poses no restraints to even near-APL levels of "cleverness". Putting the merits of the language aside, when are the gurus of C themselves going to encourage a more readable coding style instead of constantly sparing us five characters of typing. John Perry
