Given the recent spate of malicious hackers wreaking mischief
via software contributed to assorted BBSes, I would think at
least twice about executing ANY program which I did not build
myself from source code which I would have previously examined.
(Except for commercial products, where the risk is small and
effective legal recourse would be available.)

This is not meant to be a reflection on anyone in particular.
