I have just been given the privilege of conducting statistical studies on the
performance of our packet-switching network, to wit:

	- model the typical performance of combinations of nodes and lines
	- perform critical-path studies
	- correlate node outages with fluctuations in network throughput
	- etc.

I'm sure you get the picture.  I'm familiar with most of the ops research
tools, but I don't have the software to do the job.  Does anyone have
recommendations for software which runs on a Mac or IBM PC?  I'm partial to
software for the Mac, because I'm trying to justify an upgrade to a Mac SE,
further our Mac is our primary diagnostic machine.  Here's the whole ball of
wax.  I want to do correlation/regression analyses, identify critical paths,
and present the results in table and graphic form.  Cost is a secondary
concern.
