I did have to call Anchor in California in order to order cables to attach through the 850 interface. They cost $14.95 (as opposed to $9.95 for standard Volks->IBM cables here in town) and were here within a week and a half. The only incompatibility I have found is with Chameleon not believing that it can dial the Volks when it actually has done that. It only means that Chameleon won't through itself into terminal mode automatically on connection. You have to escape to the main menu and then START into terminal mode. Most of the time I don't bother with the dialing menu anyway since I call numbers I know off the top of my head. I do wish it had a speaker, however. Anchor also makes a modem for the 520ST at the same price (about $130) which does have a speaker. My best friend has it and has seemed to be very pleased with it. Feel free to send any questions regarding the Volks to me directly. I will try to find the return path back through the network if I can.
