As you probably know, I run CDY's OMNIVIEW (on an 800XL) here, and use CDY's
OmniCom these days, mostly because it includes kermit, xmodem, and most
recently, ASCII file capture and built-in Print Screen functions.  (And of
course you can "capture" to the file named "P:", i.e. the printer, if you
wish.)  With the current price of OMNIVIEW with 80-column word processor down
at $39.95 last I heard, you and others wishing VT100 emulation with kermit
ought to consider OMNIVIEW/OmniCom.  Incidentally, the graphics emulation is
quite a bit more complete, and in my opinion, the character font a little more
pleasing, than VT10SQ.

The kermit in OmniCom has worked very well both with VAX kermit and with
kermit on a local Zenith-PC based BBS, which are the only two cases I've
tried.  I've used the xmodem on a couple of other BBSs which don't support
kermit, and that has worked very well also.

I believe OMNIVIEW is also available for the 400/800, and of course you could
run OmniCom too, since it is disk-based.  Should you wish to go this way, you
could be "on the air" with kermit almost immediately, as well as having a true
80-column word processor.

Nevertheless, with VT10SQ a Public Domain program I applaud the idea of
enhancing it ultimately to have similar features.  And by the way, thanks for
sending it to me lo those many months ago.  I got a lot of use out of it as
a vanilla VT100 emulator before I bought OMNIVIEW, but it's a lot more
convenient to have everything built into a single program like OmniCom.
