The book _Inside Commodore DOS_ does a very good job of explaning
the various routines inside the 1541.  It also gives information
regarding direct programming of the 1541 if you're so inclined.  It
does not, however, include disassembly listings.  I use the _Anatomy
of the 1541_ from Abacus Software for that purpose.  I believe that
the author's name of _Inside Commodore DOS_ is Greg Neufeld, or
something similar to that.
