Go ahead! Eat my line!

I know this probably seems lame, but... I need a function to return the
scan code of a key I hit (MS_C v4.0). If I said:

scan = get_scancode();

then it would wait for the key, and if I hit ESC, get_scancode()
would return 0x01.
