Message-ID: <63@spdcc.COM> Date: Sun, 10-May-87 09:57:43 EDT Article-I.D.: spdcc.63 Posted: Sun May 10 09:57:43 1987 Date-Received: Sun, 10-May-87 18:37:42 EDT Organization: S.P. Dyer Computer Consulting, Cambridge MA Lines: 15 I see regular mention of an Intel 386 motherboard, but there doesn't seem to be any well-publicised way of purchasing one. I am inclined to believe that this might be the easiest way to upgrade my AT clone, given the physical constraints imposed by the Intel Inboard/386 (the cable which plugs into the 286 socket is fragile and isn't guaranteed to reach if your clone places the chip in an unusual place; also, you have to set your motherboard to use only 256K of its memory, something that I can't do on my clone.) Is the Intel 386 motherboard available directly from Intel? Whom do I contact? What is a reasonable price? -- Steve Dyer dyer@harvard.harvard.edu dyer@spdcc.COM aka {ihnp4,harvard,linus,ima,bbn,halleys}!spdcc!dyer
