Frequently, I do word processing with MacWrite (sometimes Word 1.05) at home and then use the LW+ at school for final printouts. Often times, the length of a document (in pages) is important to me (or at least to the professor in question :-) ). However, MacWrite (and Word 1.05 too?) formats documents differently for the IM and the LW+. This causes my papers to mysteriously change lengths when I go to make the final copy. This is very annoying. How can I fool MacWrite into formatting the document for the LW+ even though I don't have one hooked up? I've tried hooking up AppleTalk (via the control panel, even though it does not exist) and then choosing the LW+ with the chooser (even though there is no LW+ hooked up to the AppleTalk network which wasn't there in the firstplace) and then doing page setup. This causes MacWrite to format for the LW+ _on_ _the_ _screen_, but obviously, I have no way of printing this on my IM because the Mac thinks it's supposed to use a LW+. Is there some way to fool MacWrite (as in the above paragraph) and still be able to print that out on my IM at home? advTHANKSance -- Marc Sarrel CIS Gradual Student 611 Harley Dr. #1 The Ohio State University Columbus, OH 43202-1835 ..!cb{osgd,att}!osu-eddie!sarrel or sarrel@ohio-state.{arpa,csnet}
