Dept., Univ. of Notre Dame Lines: 29 I would like some general information on 68020 upgrades for the Mac, particularly on the various ones from Levco. Some specifics I am particularly interested in...if you upgrade a Mac+ to a 68020 with one of Levco's upgrades, how is memory reallocated? Does Levco's "fast" RAM become low memory where all the system globals and such live? Do you loose access to the 1Meg already in the Mac+? Particularly...can you use the "slow" RAM in the Mac+ as a Ramdisk/Cache while having the system/finder/applications running in the Levco "fast" memory? Does the Levco upgrade work with System 4.1/Finder 5.5? Do you have to patch the system software at all? What software does Levco include with their upgrade? Is it possible to disable the Levco upgrade from software (without physically removing it) so the machine will act as a normal Mac+ again? How big a deal is it to install the upgrade? Do you have to send the whole machine to Levco or can the installation be done by any Apple service tech? Finally...does Levco have any special pricing for Universities (members of AUC) Greg Corson 19141 Summers Drive South Bend, IN 46637 (219) 277-5306 (weekdays till 6 central) ...{seismo,pur-ee}!iuvax!ndmath!milo
