Another option for a higher-density file display is to modify the LAYO resource in the Finder. ResEdit already has a TMPL for this, so you need only use a reasonably current ResEdit on a reasonably current Finder, open up the LAYO resource in the Finder, and modify the line spacing for the text view. You can also modify the tab stops, the font, the default (i.e., new folder) window size, the Icon view spacings, etc. -Eric olson@endor.harvard.edu harvard!olson
