Message-ID: <485@oscvax.UUCP> Date: Fri, 22-May-87 17:57:00 EDT Article-I.D.: oscvax.485 Posted: Fri May 22 17:57:00 1987 Date-Received: Sat, 23-May-87 02:29:33 EDT Reply-To: ron@oscvax.UUCP (Ron Janzen) Distribution: na Organization: Ontario Science Centre, Toronto Lines: 15 I would like to know if it is possible to force the window manager to ignore the menu bar. i.e. I want to be able to have windows overlapping the menu bar area. This is for an exhibit at the Science Centre and we have found that the pull-down menus are too complicated for a neophyte visitor to grasp in a minute or so. We prefer to use on screen buttons and the like. I would like to use the window manager but it won't let me draw over where the menu bar is supposed to be. Since Mac screen real estate is at a premium I would sure like to be able to use the menu bar area for windows. Thanks for any help, -- Ron Janzen Ontario Science Centre, Toronto ...!{allegra,ihnp4,decvax,pyramid}!utzoo!oscvax!ron
