From my experiences as well as info on the info-appletalk group I have concluded that alisatalk is in no way responsible. In reality, it turns out the several appletalk devices don't appropriately deal with bridges like the kinetics box. both iomega and hayes have admitted that there products are at fault in terms of their non-compatibility with the kinetics box. our solution was to dispose of the bernoulli box - it was ripping up disks as fast as a paper shredder...... -ed
