It is extremely simple, with one MIDI in and one MIDI out. It does not require an external power supply. It comes with a DB9 connector, so you do need an adaptor (DB9 to DIN8). The key point, though, is that it does not need the +5 volt pin that the new connectors don't have. I guess it powers itself directly from the signals. It operates at 1 MHz, is about 2 inches by 5 inches, and comes with two MIDI cables. I use it with Megatrack XL, Sound Designer, DMCS, etc. I bought it bundled with Megatrack so I'm not sure how much it sells for. I recommend it if you want a simple, hassle-free, power-free interface. Now that I just got a second keyboard, I'm starting to miss the 2nd set of ins and outs which the Opcode interface, for example, has. The model number is MH-01M. -Mark Herdeg
