If so, are you interested in getting some discussion of these systems going here? [Yes, I really do mean TANDEM -- and NOT Tandy. We're talking Tandem minis here.] FYI, our (Perkins Library, Duke University) principal application is the on-line catalog for the Duke University Libraries. Later the system will have other library management applications, such as circulation. We are part of a three-university consortium, the Triangle Research Libraries Network (TRLN), which, in addition to Duke, also includes North Carolina State University in Raleigh and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The other two campuses also have Tandems, linked via expand lines, and the TRLN staff in Chapel Hill have a fourth Tandem used for development work.
