Message-ID: <892@lll-lcc.aRpA> Date: Fri, 29-May-87 17:04:16 EDT Article-I.D.: lll-lcc.892 Posted: Fri May 29 17:04:16 1987 Date-Received: Sun, 31-May-87 11:45:07 EDT Distribution: na Organization: Lawrence Livermore Labs, Livermore Ca Lines: 19 Keywords: latex, article style, table numbering & referencing [] Using LaTeX and article style, I have figures that are consecutively numbered and correctly referred to via "\ref". I have tables that are independently consecutively numbered--so far, so good. But when I refer to a table via "\ref{labeloftable}" I get the section or subsection that "\ref" occurs in. Lamport's book says this is supposed to happen in report and book style, but not in article. Here, however, we get consecutive numbering in captions and something else in referring to it. Is this my problem, a bug in article.sty, or something else? Anyone else see this problem? Thanks in advance for your help. -- ______________________________________ Rod Oldehoeft Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory rro@lll-crg.arpa
