I have been using Ventura 1.0 on a PC/AT (8 MHz) for some time now. I am
also using an Apple LaserWriter+, Microtek scanner (MS300A) and a Viking
Monochrome Terminal (1280x960).
I am very pleased with the results. I have not run into your problems
since I have not used some of the equipment you mention and have only
printed two bitmaps at  a time on one page.

I am ordering 1.1 as well. While Ventura is not perfect, it does most of
what I want with great
ease. The high res Viking terminal is a real pleasure to use.
