How come, when I type in " cat > '\<rubout>'" on dartvax I get logged out?
This is a VAX, running 4.3 BSD, and the exact typing sequence is:

  c   a   t   <space>  >  <space>  '   \   ^?   '  ^m

(Don't ask how I discovered this, I don't remember.)
