With the surge in X popularity and usage, I would think there were some
meetings, conventions, etc. where people working with X would be getting 
together and discussing some of the amazing issues that come up - and now
with X version 11 (beta in June!) the interest should be even higher.

So, if you know of anything, drop me a line.  If there is interest, I would
be more than willing to summarize any findings and send them out to the rest
of the world.
