I wish to apologise to the net for the copious news articles that were
erroneously retransmitted from this site back out to the net.  This
caused much grief to subscribers of comp.os.vms and comp.protocols.tcp-ip,
amongst others.

The problem, for those who care, was caused by some of the newer news
groups such as comp.os.vms being incorrectly marked as moderated.  When
an article arrived without the appropriate "Approved-By:" header, our
system reposted it back to the "moderator", in actual fact a mailing
list. Hence much circularity and frustration for everyone.
