Unfortunately, /spool was on the disk that failed. The system went down at 5 AM Sunday May 10, and the most recent full system dump was taken at 10 AM Saturday May 9. Any mail destined to or through utgpu during this period should be resent. News is not likely to be much of a problem since normal propagation delay between seismo -> mnetor -> utzoo -> utgpu should be sufficient for us to catch the 1 day worth of news traffic lost. Sorry for any inconvenience this outage has caused. Check your Supereagle HDA, if you have an HDA that is rev D, you should be very wary. Ours failed exactly 3 months from delivery. HDA rev E is reputed to be reliable, but I have no proof of this. ---- Tom Molnar Unix Systems Group, University of Toronto Computing Services.
