There has been a great deal of discussion about the
different/similarities, strengths/weaknesses, etc.
between servers, distributors, and database machines recently.

I would like to be sure that I am fully aware of the
nuances of the discussion.  Can anyone point me to
some reference materials (article length) that define
these different approaches?
