We currently have a Bridge Communications ethernet LAN that consists of CS/100's, CS/1's, and NCR towers and a VAX 11-785. I would like to be able to use macros to allow the users to connect to the VAX, but I cannot use macros unless the queue feature is allowed inside a macro. Since the VAX is very crowded, the users are using the following statement to connect: "c VAX q" My question is, can I put this statement in a macro without adversely affecting the server or the rest of the network? I have tried it, and it seems to work, but I am not convinced that the "q" will not cause something bad to happen when there are about 25-30 people in the "queue". The macro would look like this: def VAX=( echo "message........\r" c vax q ) Thanks for your help, Gary Mink Southwestern Bell Telephone (713) 521-6958
