There are short introductions (concentrating on Simulation) in WR Franta "A Process View of Simulation" Elsevier 1978? I Mitrani "Simulation Techniques for Discrete Event Systems" Cambridge University Press 1985? The Simula Newsletter has a regular list of publications on Simula, (surprisingly, they are often in Polish, Russian, Czech -- maybe reliable software will be the Warsaw Pact's answer to star Wars! ) The Newsletter is sent quarterly to members of the Simula Users Group.
