our IBM shop decided to move the short haul modem that we use to
connect talcott to bitnet without telling anyone & when i was
phoenix bound. when they swapped a pair of wires and the link went
down they blaimed the "software" at our end, since all people who
knew the unix end were elsewhere the problem had to wait until i
got back from sunny pheonix to get solved. the link is back up
so mail through talcott to bitnet should be ok again
