This is as it should be. The occurrance of a name such as "dopey" in a bang route should have a unique meaning on all UUCP sites. Therefore "dopey" = "dopey.UUCP" = the "dopey" in the UUCP maps. If a site along the way knows a cheaper way to get to the machine in Ohio, more power to them... they are presumably saving themselves and maybe a few other sites some $$.
