This route to "person" would work for you only if your host talks to snarf. A proper address to this person would be something like person@scream.technisound.com. A user can send mail to an address like that and not have to worry about how the mail will get there. The routing is left up to the mail transport mechanism, whatever it may be. > What should appear on the To: line of this letter? If the UUCP host scream has a domain name (e.g. scream.techisound.com) then that is what should be on the To: line (person@scream.techisound.com). If scream doesn't have a domain name, person@scream.uucp is best, since on smart UUCP hosts replying to this will allow an appropriate path to be generated. Not-so-smart UUCP hosts leave this up to the user and force them to put routes into the mail headers... but there is no longer any need for this!
