Summary: Tape drive horrors


	I seem to remember the folk tale from college of a student (Who shall
remain nameless....;->) Who got a little upset at not being given an extension
after the system had been doing a yo-yo imitation for 3 days...Soooo, he 
stuck a *LITTLE* piece of abrasion cloth (You know, the stuff with tungsten
carbide grit on it....) about 100 ft into a tape and had it loaded...The *NEW*
operator noticed that there were an AWFULL lot of read errors occuring, so 
he moved it to the next drive over....three times. Well, there were at least
3 drives left for the bursar to use over christmas break....I got my tuition
bill anyway.
