We recently bought the DEC 2780/3780 emulation package for one of our uVAXen.

I cannot get output from the mainframe it is connected to (MVS/XA 3081),
although there is no problem sending data to the mainframe.  I surmise that
there is some signon sequence by which an RJE printer signals its availability,
but no one around here seems to know what that might be.  If someone uses this
package in this way successfully, I would be ecstatic to know what the secret
is, if any.

(if you have a regular mail path to me, please use it; I doubt that 1% of the
readers of this list wish knowledge of such devices to impinge upon their 
lives)
