Mic - although no strictly what you are looking for, you may be interested
in Wendin's PC-VMS and PC-Unix; these are MS-DOS operating systems which
provide some (Wendin might say much) of the functionality of the two
operating systems in an MS-DOS environment, including not only the
CLI/Shell features but also the underlying system calls.  I was not
impressed by PC-VMS - it needed too much of an underlying Unix configuration
for my liking - but Technical Support were knowledgeable and helpful.  ** Phil.
